Whether you are purchasing a $2000 bathroom floor, or a $50,000 whole-home hardwood flooring installation, understanding the process and potential costs involved is key to a succcessful and stress-free relationship with your flooring provider.
Before a client signs a purchase contract with a flooring supplier, they should understand exactly what is, and what is not, included in the contract cost. In most cases additional work and charges are going to be involved in a flooring installation; be sure to understand why this is required, what it may look like, and importantly, how it will be billed. Your flooring provider should be able to provide full transparancy in all three of these areas, so that when changes or additions are required on your project there is no surprises or hurt feelings for either party.
