CRAFT Hickory Hardwood Kavala is made possible by intensive grading of select premium grade Hickory. The look that Kavala floors strive for is to showcase hickory’s beautiful brown heartwood by limiting the white sapwood to accent strips along the sides of some boards. The result is a cleaner, more linear look than other natural Hickory hardwood floors.
Hickory is typically known for its exceptional hardness; this makes it a great choice for active homes and families. However, some people are put off by the amount of movement in the grain pattern.
The distinctive neutral light brown colour that is unique to CRAFT Hickory Hardwood Kavala is achieved by a subtle surface treatment that mutes some of the warmth naturally present in Hickory’s heartwood, resulting in a natural organic feel perfect for today’s design trends.
